I’m breaking into the bridal market with my line of genuine pearl jewelry (see www.sunandmoonpearls.com). The problem seems to be that fake pearls dominate at retail outlets that I’m trying to sell wholesale to and brides either don’t know the difference or don’t care. The irony is that fake jewelry still costs an arm and a leg (as much or more than my genuine jewelry line) So… Part 2: How do I raise awareness without launching some huge expensive ad campaign? (which would increase my overhead). Any ideas would be appreciated!

I only ask because I want to ensure i’m giving something meaningful or useful, many people have told me money is
appropriate, if so how much? should it be a check? cash? should it be in one envelope address to the Bride & the Groom? two seprate envelope, any help would be useful.

I really like the design of the former, but the latter is cheaper and well, has more stuff in it. Ladies, which would you appreciate more? Assuming the price were unknown to you.
Of course, if you feel both are terrible gifts feel free to chime in too.

If someone showed up at your door with beautiful authentic freshwater white pearls what’s the most you’d be willing to pay for them? Or if an aquaintance offerred to sell you some, since nobody likes door-to-door salesmen…How much do pearls usually go for anyway?
Nothing is an answer too!! Thanks for all replies.

I have a pair of real pearl earrings, the backs are 14kt gold. I also have a real pearl necklace with probably about 36-40 pearls on the strand, and a 14kt gold clasp. I am trying to sell them for as much as possible. What is a reasonable asking price for this beautiful *AUTHENTIC* jewelry? I have never worn them so they are in perfect condition.

I make beaded jewelry and wanted to start selling some of my work. Would you prefer freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, glass beads, or…?? Also, would you wear beaded bracelets, necklaces, and/or earrings? Do you prefer certain colors? Just curious what type everyone likes the best.

My wedding colors are pink and green. My bridesmaids dresses are pink so I bought them all matching pretty green pearl necklaces for their gifts. But what kind of earings should they wear? Buying them all the same isnt in my budget, and I dont think I should ask them to look for green pearl earrings to match (sounds expensive and hard).
Any suggestions that would look nice?
Haha I know green pearl earrings would match! But im asking for any other alternatives that would look good too!
