I know that you are not supposed to get water on pearl earrings because it makes them peel. However, I wear my pearls and do not allow them to get wet but they are still peeling. What else could cause this?

Here is a detail of the earring. The earring is one pearl, around one centimeter in diameter surrounded with a thin piece of gold material. The gold material ends in a tear drop formation. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. You could send websites or any other information that would help me out.

I recently saw a tv commercial for these very nice earrings that I know would be a perfect 1st anniversary gift for my wife. Each earring had a white and a black pearl and hung straight down with a long piece that divided the two, maybe an inch long total length. My problem is that I don’t remember who’s ad it was and I can’t seem to find it online!!! If anyone knows the commercial or the store that has it please let me know! Thank you!

I was wondering how much they cost. I went there just last week and looked at the “Pearls inside the shell” ones that you have to set into jewelry yourself, they were 14.99 each. I thought they were cheap and forgot to look at the actual jewlery pearls. I want to get them for my cousin, for her wedding, she always thought they were beautiful but are they real pearls? So do you know how much a set of blue pearl earrings are from there and what do you think of the quality?

My wedding colors are pink and green. My bridesmaids dresses are pink so I bought them all matching pretty green pearl necklaces for their gifts. But what kind of earings should they wear? Buying them all the same isnt in my budget, and I dont think I should ask them to look for green pearl earrings to match (sounds expensive and hard).

Any suggestions that would look nice?

I have a habit of never removing my Tahitian pearl stud earrings… Does wearing them in the shower or tanning bed cause damage to them? I am primarily concerned that tanning may cause them to yellow?
