I received a Qbos gift set for xmas comprising of a watch, ring, earrings and a neckace. It had a price tag which said rrp $199.00.
Is $199.00 the real price or is this just a wind up?

On this episode of “Stitching About TV,” all of those Art History classes Coco took in college finally pay off. Check out www.stitchingabouttv.com for “Spool of Thought” a picture diary that highlights Coco’s thoughts about television. UPDATE 12/3/09: souverignofsilence sent me an image of Laura as the model from Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring.” Here’s the link: www.stitchingabouttv.com To see more of souverignofsilence’s work visit: www.youtube.com

My godmother brought me back a freshwater pearl bracelet from “sno of sweden” and I was wondering what anyone can tell me about the company? Do you know of a website where their jewelry is sold?

I found this website selling “wish pearls” (link below)
http://www.topearl.com/ap001-sample-akoya-wish-pearl-gift-boxes-with-6pcsus50pc-p-50.html
I think they would make pretty good presents
However, i do not know weather the pearls are real or if they are “cultured” or not . . . (i don’t really know what that means)
So if anyone could tell me a bit about pearl clarity it would help me out
Thank You

I just bought a black pearl necklace off of ebay for my wife. I bought them knowing that they were freshwater, dyed pearls which is fine. I received them in the mail today and they look more purple than they do black. The picture on ebay looked black. Is that how black pearls are supposed to look? My wife wanted black pearls for Christmas, but I don’t know anything about them. Purple is not one of my wifes favorite colors, so I’m not sure if I got the right thing or not. Doing a few searches online, I have found pics of some black pearls that look purple, but also some that really look black. I know that pictures on a computer don’t always reflect true actual color. Anybody have some black pearls that would like to chime in?
