hows my story so far?

the day had started like any other one.it was warm and an autumn like breeze was felt but this was in july.well i had just packed my suitcase as i was heading off to an isle getaway.i had been living for 1 year at my new house and worked as a road manager fo the dixie chicks.i won a contest for a week stay at some island resort but i wasnt sure where it was on the map.so i was prepared with alot of clothes.i was looking for my plane ticket and i suddenly found it.i kissed my parrot goodbye and called the maid to look in after him.he whispered dont go,youll be sorry.ok thats enuff i told petie and i was headed for the airport.

i was divorced as i had spent more time at my job than with my wife.i got the bird because i liked companionship and already had a cat but it was with a neighbor.i liked to read in my spare time.mostly suspenses and thrillers.well i was on the plane and before i realized it i had landed.it seemed like 4 hours of flight and i ate and drank while in flight.i was greeted by a man in a cab and he uttered my name to which i said yes.ok patrick were off said the cabbie.we rode for 3 miles i think until we got to a pier.from here on you must catch the ferry he said.i paid him the $18 fare plus a tip of $5.he was veryppreciative and i told him goodbye.i hopped aboard the boat to reach my destination as it was an inlet somewhere or an island within an island.the bahamas is where im in but precisely the location im not aware of.the sign on the ferry read st petie and i thought of my pet at home.

well after only 20 minutes roughly of smooth sailing i arrived to a dock and out came all of the tourists on the small boat.its a ferry but only a private and much smaller one than yous think.welcome patrick said the haitian sounding man when i stepped off of the ship.heres a token of our friendship he said while handing me a pearl necklace.a pearl necklace wow!it was so nice and expensive id say about $1,600 at least as it had figi pearls which were very small.he took me about 100 feet and we stepped inside his private helicopter.it was called the petie flyer.i looked at him and asked where we were?he replied why were in st petie and wer headed off to san juan de petie!thats strange for names i thought but oh well.we drove for 2 miles and we stopped at an inn called the lazy islander.i got out and paid the fare but he said its a free ride from the boat always and i was grateful.he asked where i was from and i replied south carolina.nice place he uttered.well brandy mae will take care of you from here on he said and departed.

the hotel was nice but empty looking and it had no modern luxuries i could see anywhere.im needing some room service i uttered as i rang the bell and out popped brandy.she was a fine haired maiden with a cordial smile and hello she said.how are you and what can i do for you?i need some food and someone to carry my luggage but its only 1 suitcase so ill manage it on second thought.as you like she said softly.hey why so vacant i asked?because its the special time of the year for us when we only get 1 visitor here at our gorgeous retreat she proclaimed!what do you mean i said?you won the contest and heres the prize.its seclusion and relaxation unlike any youve ever seen before she said.ok whatever that means i told myself and made for my room.i got inside of the small quarters and there was another pearl necklace on the table.i picked it up and showed the housekeeper it who was adjacent to my room.why is this here i asked nicely?its for you sir as a gift from the hotel she said.a 2nd necclace and now im feeling strange.why not a hawaiian necklace or a box of cherries or a rose or something cheaper.but ill definitely accept it as it must be included in the prize but what lavious gifts.this was a freshwater white pearl necklace id say only about $400 this time but still were talking like $2,000 retail value in both items so far.i went outside to get a soda and suddenly thats when it got weird.

we are having a celebration tonight said the simple desk clerk who i spoke too earlier and you are invited.im glad to hear that and yes ill be coming along soon.what time is it at i said?dont worry as well come get you when it is time patrick.thats funny as i never told her my name but she might have seen it somewhere.well about 2 hours passed and i was greeted by a chorus of people knocking on my door and singing the native song.it was like reggae or something island like.they took me to a bus and i hopped on it.you won the contest one of them said.yes i did and so far im not sure what ive won except the getaway and some fancy pearls.oh but thats the beginning another shrieked.we came to a stop about only 1/4 mile away and then everyone got out.remember that you won the contest said a woman.it was brandy and whats going on here i shouted as its getting bizarre now.i noticed that as we drove past some wild looking animals on the roadside but they were made of cardboard or paper mache i

does anyone know where i can find a discontinued item from HSN?

i have been searching for a specific piece of jewelry and i finally found it in a you tube video of the home shopping network. however, i think it is sold out or discontinued because i can’t get it through them. if you search under “HSN 3piece cultured freshwater pearl calla lily sterling silver” something should come up. it’s earrings, a necklace, and a ring shaped like calla lilies with a pearl in the middle. if anyone knows where i can find a set or something similar please let me know!!!

How do I know if my ring is rhodium plated?

I purchased two rings from a department store and all that was indicated on the rings is that they were both sterling silver (they’re both stamped 925). One is too large, one too small, so I took them to a local jeweler, who immediately asked me if they were costume jewelry. I answered that I guessed they were, since one was silver/turquoise and the other silver/freshwater pearl, not anything fancy like diamonds or platinum. She said that they were rhodium plated and could not be sized.

I have done some research and understand why rhodium plated pieces are difficult or impossible to size, but what I don’t understand is how to determine if it even IS rhodium. She barely looked at them, and not very closely, and the only thing the sales lady told me was that they were sterling silver.

I know that rhodium plating is an expensive process, and between you and me, I paid less than $45 for each ring, so I have my doubts that they would be so inexpensive were they plated with rhodium. Could the jeweler have just been mistaken? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
